Two ball knockout competitors slam dunk school spirit

Many students participated in a two ball knockout tournament on the basketball court during lunch today. Each competitor attempted to make baskets and eliminate the student directly in front of them in line until only one person was left standing. Sophomore Aidan Bachsian won the first round and sophomore Alan Ruiz won the second round. Each victor earned a McDonald’s gift card, given to them by School Climate Advocate Magaly Ruiz, who organized the event.

“I felt good and it was fun,” Bachsian said. “Ms. Ruiz is a great part of our school. She always sets up these types of things for us and it’s amazing. It’s good to be at school and play basketball again.”
