DPMHS students participate in mock election on Super Tuesday

A mock election was held at Daniel Pearl Magnet high school on March 3 during third and fourth period in history teacher Brenda Helfing’s room. March 3 is also known as Super Tuesday, when 14 states, including California, hold their presidential primaries. Juniors created booths for each presidential candidate and handed out ballots to the sophomores, who voted during the mock election. They also helped students who were at least 16 years old to pre-register. The winner of the mock election was Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders.
