This Valentine’s Day recipe is an easy and tasty treat to give to anyone’s loved ones. Either for your significant other or family member, this chocolate-y goodness is perfect to express the season of love.

What you’ll need is:

1 can of Pillsbury frozen crescent dough can

⅓ cup of hazelnut-chocolate spread

24 raspberries

1 beaten egg

1 tablespoon of powdered sugar

1 bag of chocolate chips (semi-sweet or sweet, depends on the person)

Here’s the steps:

Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F and place a wax paper

Step 2: Unroll dough and cut into 8 squares for the 8 servings. Place the dough evenly on a cookie sheet.

Step 3: Spoon two teaspoons of the hazelnut-chocolate spread on one side of the square. Place 3 raspberries and 4 chocolate chips on top of the hazelnut-chocolate spread. Fold over the dough and seal at the edges to keep the filling inside. To form the heart shape, press an indentation for the dip of the heart and round the edges to make the shape of your choice. Finish it off with brushing the dough over with egg.

Step 4: Bake hearts for 13 to 17 minutes until dough turns golden brown.

Step 5: In a microwave-safe bowl, take one tablespoon of hazelnut-chocolate spread and another tablespoon of chocolate chips. Microwave (uncovered) for 45-60 seconds until melted. Spoon the melted chocolate into a sandwich bag with a hole cut on one of the corners. This is where the baker becomes creative and makes any designs they find suitable for the special day. Lastly, sprinkle some powdered sugar over the heart for the finishing touch.
