We all love our mothers and we appreciate what they’ve done for us. However, when Mother’s Day comes around, we don’t always know what the perfect gift for her would be.  If you are struggling to figure it out, here’s a list of gift ideas that for your mom without breaking the bank.

One of the simplest things to buy your mom on Mother’s Day are flowers. When you don’t know what to get or don’t have enough money for something expensive, a bouquet of flowers is the way to go. Flowers are beautiful, easy to buy at a local Food 4 Less grocery store for $9.99 plus tax and it shows to your mom that you care.

Getting something as beautiful as a necklace or a pair of earrings is the perfect gift to give your mom. Although some might be a bit too overpriced for a teenager to afford, you can get beautiful jewelry at stores or online that cost around $5 to $15. If you don’t know what to get, start with Rose Gold Plated Opal Stud Earrings that cost $9.99 on Amazon or Zealmer Cactus Necklace Double Rings Snowflake Elk Dandelion Star Necklace Gift Card for $9.59.

Make or Buy a Journal

The best gifts of all are the ones from the heart. When you want to get her a gift that is very special, making or buying a journal and writing down all the things you love about your mother is a good idea. This is a way to tell her how much you love her and why. You can make your own journal just by following a DIY on how to make it. On Amazon, you can buy a Knock Knock What I Love About Mom Fill In The Love Journal for $13.99, a purple or pink Reasons Why I Love You Mom Fill-in-the-blank journal for $9.99 or Why I Love you Mom for making me your Favorite by your Favorite for $8.99.

Homemade Mementos

Struggling to get something beautiful that’s in your budget is very challenging, especially since almost everything is expensive. However, there are still some things you can get for your mom that cost little to no money. Just make something. You can make her a card, a poem or a photo frame filled with all of the moments you spent with her. There are several DIYs to learn how to do this but you could easily make it on your own. Now matter how it’s made, the gift will be something your mom will love and cherish.

Cook or Bake Something For Her

Getting your mom material things is a good idea but if your mom is not materialistic, make her something delicious. Surprise your mom with a homemade Mother’s Day breakfast or even one of her favorite desserts. When you can’t get flowers, jewelry or even a journal for your mom, make something that she’ll enjoy eating, especially since it’s something you cooked or baked.

Go Out and Make Some Memories

The one thing that your mom wants more than anything is spending quality time with family. Material things can be great gifts but they might not last very long, whereas family moments can last a lifetime. It doesn’t have to be anything extravagant. It can be something as little as going out to dinner with your family or watching both of your favorite movie.
