Movies to watch over winter break

Adventure: “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug

Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) returns with wizard Gandalf (Ian McKellen) on their continued journey to the forest of Mirkwood in “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.” In this adventure, battles with new creatures will break between the forces of good and evil, that are sure to satisfy. Directed by Peter Jackson, this sequel will showcase a world beyond imagination with amazing graphics and a heroic adventure. The release date is Dec. 13 2013.

 

Documentary: Justin Bieber’s Believe

Justin Bieber displays his stage persona and private life in his new documentary, “Justin Bieber’s Believe.” Fan girls are preparing to see their favorite heartthrob expose the life he lives behind closed doors. Set to release on Dec. 24 2013, this movie is a must see for the holidays.

Relive childhood fascinations with dinosaurs with the 3D movie “Walking with Dinosaurs.” Dinosaur Patchi (Justin Long) goes on an adventure with his friends where he is faced with challenging obstacles. Directed by Barry Cook and Neil Nightingale, the film took over a year to create and will be released on Dec. 20 2013.

In Disney’s new animated movie, “Frozen,” Anna (Kristen Bell) teams up with rugged mountain man in search for her sister, a fairy that can turn everything into snow. Directed  by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, this movie is sure to fulfill Disney fans with its heartfelt animation. “Frozen” is set to release on Nov. 27 2013.
