Former lacrosse coach Scott Silva was sentenced on June 19.

Birmingham Community Charter High School (BCCHS) girls lacrosse coach Scott Silva was set to appear in court on April 23 for a trial setting/resetting according to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department inmate locator.

According to an email from Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office spokesman Frank Mateljan, Silva also had a trial set on April 12. His recent trial date was set and a jury was selected in the following weeks before, according to an official close to the case.

According to the County of Los Angeles criminal case summary, Silva also had two docket line entry events, which is when the clerk reads out the register of actions that happened during the prosecution, on April 16. It is unknown what was decided during these events.

Silva is currently being held at the Men’s Central Jail in Van Nuys with bail posted at $595,000 according to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department inmate locator.

Silva was arrested last year on Nov. 16 and currently has 30 charges of sexual misconduct against minors. A restraining order is currently filed against Silva to stay 100 yards away from Daniel Pearl Magnet High School, BCCHS and the 13 named victims.
