The music industry is being taken by storm with the revitalizing song, “Geronimo” by Sheppard, making listeners stomp their feet to their cheerful beat.

Sheppard, an Australian group, was formed in 2009. They debuted with “Geronimo EP” which was released in August of 2014. The album was reached number two on the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) albums chart.

The band is composed of six members: Michael Butler, Jason Bovino, Dean Gordon, Emma Sheppard, Amy Sheppard and George Sheppard.

The band started when Amy asked her brother George for help with a music assignment. By 2012, the whole group had been formed.

Since then, Sheppard became the first independent band in 30 years to top the ARIA charts. “Geronimo” was the top song of the album and was highly touted all over the globe. It peaked as the number one song in eight countries, including Australia and the Czech Republic. They are currently touring with Meghan Trainor on her “All About That Bass” tour. Their new album “Bombs Aways” will be released on March 10.

What Sheppard does best with their music is make it catchy. They dress in hipster chic, just trying to be as free as they can be with their relaxed personas.

This band doesn’t have much of a history under their belt but it wouldn’t be surprising to seem them build their career. They have the potential to produce many top albums and be a recognizable name through the curtains of the waterfall.
