The School Site Council met on Sept. 22 and discussed the policy of cell phone use during school. The results of the meeting weren’t too successful for bringing the policy back.
The council decided to not make a decision about electronic devices being allowed during school hours. The idea can be brought up again at next month’s meeting on Oct. 20 if someone decides to motion it. Teacher-librarian Tammie Celi and English teacher Paul Viskanta, are creating a cell phone policy in the event that cellphones are reinstated. Their goal is to have cell phones be allowed in classrooms for educational purposes.
