Movies for a stay-at-home Halloween night

If you are staying in on halloween night, we have got you covered! Here are some spine-chilling movies to entertain the Halloween homebodies.

Begin your night with suspense by watching “When a Stranger Calls,” starring Camilla Belle. The story unfolds as a high school student’s babysitting job is interrupted by a threatening prank caller who is closer than she thinks.

Slowly transition into the spirit world with the blockbuster, “Mama.” Couple Lucas and Annabelle, portrayed by Nickolaj Coster- Waldau and Jessica Chastain, get more than they bargained for when they adopt Lucas’ two nieces that have been isolated and self raised in an abandoned cabin for five years. The new guardians begin to experience physical terror from a shadow the nieces claim raised them in their isolation. The shadow is named “Mama.”

Finish off the night with the classic, thrill of  “The Ring.” Rachel, portrayed by  Naomie Watts, is a journalist investigating a mysterious tape that causes the viewer to receive a horrifying call. The viewers mysteriously die, 7 days after watching the haunting tape . As the toll of disappearances increases, Rachel must find a way to save those around her as well as the life of her own.

Whether you choose to go trick or treating on Halloween night or stay home, this list of petrifying films will surely get you into the Halloween spirit. Are you up for the challenge?
