Students show off creativity and participation during Spirit Week

From Sept. 2 to Sept. 5, students and staff showed off their school spirit by participating in the first Spirit Week of the 2025-2026 school year. Each day had a different theme, such as Adam Sandler Day, Twin Day, Date of Birth Song Day and Freaky Friday.

Megan Ramirez, Staff Writer

Megan Ramirez is a junior and in her first year as a staff writer for the DPMHS Student Media. She is excited to have the opportunity to further improve her writing skills, as well as break out of her comfort zone by connecting with her peers. Outside of student media, she enjoys writing album reviews on music forums, idolizing her favorite artist Nick Rattigan and occasionally writing poetry.

Desirae Carns, Staff Writer

Desirae Carns is a junior starting her first year as a staff writer for DPMHS Student Media. One goal she has for this school year is to get better at writing and make sure her articles aren’t too bad the first time around. She is Songwriting Club president and a Pearl Ambassador. Outside of school, Desirae enjoys reading and playing the drums.

Louise Gaguet, Staff Writer

Louise Gaguet is a junior and starting her first year on the DPMHS Student Media staff. Her goal this year is to expand and share her creativity through her work, whether it be through her art or otherwise. Outside of DPMHS Student Media, she spends her time drawing, animating, listening to music and spending time with friends and family.

Cecia Herrera, Staff Writer

Cecia Herrera is a sophomore who was on the DPMHS Student Media staff for Fall 2025 semester.. Her goal this year is to get better at writing and have a good experience while on staff. Outside of the publication, she enjoys listening to music and spending time with her friends and family.
