DPMHS holds first Fiesta Friday of the school year

Leadership students held multiple activites such as spray-dying hair and face painting in the MPR on Aug. 22.

On Aug. 22, Fiesta Friday was held for the first time during the 2025-2026 school year. The event provided opportunities for students to spray-dye their hair and get their faces painted by leadership students.

Kaleigh Tapaoan, Sports Editor
Kaleigh Tapaoan is this year’s Sports Editor for The Pearl Post. This is her first and last year on staff and she is enthusiastic about learning new journalism skills and being part of a resilient team. Aside from The Pearl Post, she contributes to the school by being the Secretary for the Class of 2026 as well as the ASB Treasurer. She is a Pearl Ambassador and the Pride Club vice president. Outside of school, she is the Birmingham Community Charter High School Swim Team captain and part of the year-round Los Angeles Swim Club. She looks forward to sports journalism and in her free time, she likes to draw, listen to music, go to concerts and hang out with her friends.

Brenden Rosenthal, Staff Writer
Brenden Rosenthal is a sophomore who was on the DPMHS Student Media staff for Fall 2025 semester. His goal for this school year is to express his passion for sports in his articles and photography. Brenden is Sports Club President, a Pearl Ambassador, a Board District 3 Student Advisory Council member and the class of 2028 President. Outside of school, Brenden likes training for various martial arts or running long distances.
