Q: What grade are you in?

A: I am a sophomore.

Q: What team do you play for?

A: I play JV basketball.

Q: Did you play on the Birmingham team last year?

A: Yeah I played for the lower level and I got moved up to JV this year.

Q: When does your season start?

A: Sometime in January.

Q: How long have you been playing basketball?

A: I have been playing basketball most of my life. Since 5th or 4th grade.

Q: Who is your biggest role model in the sport and why?

A: Probably Steph Curry. I like his game style and his hard work.

Q: What position do you like to play the most?

A: I like to play shooting guard because my role on the team is just shooting threes.

Q: What was the best piece of advice you have been given about playing basketball?

A: Best piece of advice… hard work means valid.

Q: How do you work on your mental game when playing the sport?

A: Most of the time, I just try not to overthink what’s going to happen in the game. I just try to be in the moment, not thinking too much in the past or the future.

Q: What was your favorite memory from playing basketball on the team?

A : I guess overall development as a player and just trying to get better every day.

Q: Do you have a favorite team?

A: No, I just follow everyone in the NBA.
