Artists to look for during PearlCon

Mike Kunkel was born on Sept. 30 1969. His most popular works are “Billy Batson” and “The Magic of Shazam!” Along with being nominated for four Ignatz Awards his comic series “Herobear and the Kid” has won two EISNER Awards. In his free time he likes to practice new magic tricks.
PearlCon’s main focus is to allow guests to relive the fictional adventures they enjoyed as children whenever they read comic books. The nostalgia is brought back through the art that is still prevalent in the world of comics today and these are the artists are an example of that exception. They combine creativity and advanced artistic ability to create wonderful works of art that captivates the world around them.
They will all be stationed in the MPR during the third annual PearlCon on May 12 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There they will be able to discuss with you their art, how they came about their career and any other questions that you might have for them.
