Online publication finalist for Pacemaker award

 

The Pearl Post was nominated as an Online Pacemaker finalist in 2013 at the JEA/NSPA convention in San Francisco.

For the second time since 2013, The Pearl Post is a finalist for an Online Pacemaker award.

The National Scholastic Press Association (NSPA) announced 50 other schools today are also finalists, 11 of them being from California.

As stated by the NSPA website, the finalists for online publications have compelling content, uses different outlets of social media and has “…a good mix of stories, photography, videos and audio…”

The Pacemaker award is the high school equivalent to the Pulitzer Prize and will be awarded to a select few schools at the spring Journalism Education Association/National Scholastic Press Association during an awards ceremony on April 16.
