Allegiant,” the movie adaptation of the first half of the final book in the “Divergent” series, will hit the big screen on March 18.

After releasing the video about the truth of divergents, Tris (Shailene Woodley) must escape with Four (Theo James) and the rest of their friends to journey beyond the walls of Chicago. For the first time, they leave the only city they have ever known in order to find a truth behind the walls that has been kept secret for centuries.

Once outside, they learn new shocking findings that make the previous discoveries meaningless. As the ruthless battle threatens humanity and conflicts threaten to tear the two apart. Outside of the city they meet new people and come across familiar faces, they have to learn who they can truly trust and who should be avoided. Tris must ultimately make impossible choices about courage, allegiance, sacrifice and love.

The movie is directed by Robert Schwentke who also directed the previous movie “Insurgent” and is written by Noah Oppenheim and Adam Cooper. The production studio of Lionsgate Motion and Red Wagon are the ones taking charge of producing the movie.

Like any other popular series the last movie is divided into two different movies. However the second part will be called “Ascendant.”

“Allegiant” is rated PG-13 for intense violence and action, thematic elements and some partial nudity with the runtime of 121 minutes. The tickets are available for purchase at websites such as Fandango and AMC.
