Lana Del Rey’s “Honeymoon” starts soon

Lana Del Rey’s new album, “Honeymoon,” comes out Sept. 18 and is available for pre-order now.
Rey has been teasing her upcoming album, “Honeymoon,” by pre-releasing songs like “Honeymoon,” “Terrence Loves You,” and the number one song on iTunes for two weeks, “High By the Beach.” You can expect for “Honeymoon” to be similar to her past album “Ultraviolence” with slow jazzy songs and hauntingly dark choruses.
The dark melodies of “Honeymoon,” the jazz tone of “Terrence Loves You,” the catchy beats of “High By the Beach” and “Music to Watch Boys To” all have a similar theme to them, love. Her first track “Honeymoon” is a soft grunge song that reveals a vulnerable side of Rey about forgiving her loved one who had wronged her in the past. “Honeymoon” shares a theme with her past song,“Ultraviolence,” in which both songs talk about forgetting the past and running away from their problems.
“Terrence Loves You” is a jazzy song about how Rey lost someone she once loved. It relates to her song “Video Games” from her “Born to Die” album because they both talk about being vulnerable and depending on someone.
“High by the Beach” demonstrates how Rey has matured over the years. In her previous albums she sang about relying on someone for money and emotional stability. In contrast, “High by the Beach” is about doing things her own way and becoming independent.
It’s expected that Rey’s new album will be like her previous album with a dark jazzy feel to it. Her album will be available on iTunes and Amazon on Sept. 18 for about $13.
