You’ve  used the classics like Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat. But there’s a new player in town. It’s like Snapchat, but with one critical difference and it’s called Shots.

Shots, much like Snapchat, is a social media app that allows you to take selfies and other photos through the app and upload it. However, unlike Snapchat, you can’t put comments or text on the photos, which prevents cyberbullying according to the developers.

Shots was created by Shots Mobile Inc. and  the app went into production in January 2013. However, it took most of the year to develop and it didn’t make the app store until November 2013. Ever since then the app has increased its popularity. In February 2015, Shots reached 5 million users.

The app has received many positive reviews claiming that it is a fun and positive app. Many celebrities (including Justin Bieber) and Viners are also on the app, so users can connect with them via Shots.

Shots is available for both iPhone and Android phones (as well as being Apple Watch Compatible) and hopes to build a safe and fun community for everyone around the world.
