One choice can transform you, one choice can destroy you. One choice can define you.

“Allegiant,” the last book of Divergent trilogy by Veronica Roth, New York Time’s bestselling author, was published on Oct. 22, 2013.

The wait was finally over and fans were rushing to stores to buy their own copy of the book. The first day turned to a huge success, it sold more than half a million copies which is more than what “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay” sold on its first day.

When the chance of stepping on the other side of Chicago’s fences came, where factions are meaningless, protagonist Tris is ready to explore the world she never come to know before. Hoping beyond those fences she and Tobias, her boyfriend since the first book, will find a simple new life together, far from complicated lies, tangled loyalties and painful unbearable memories.

But this new reality is even more frightening than the one she left behind. Old discoveries quickly lose their meaning. The explosive new truth changes the hearts of those she loves. Once again, Tris must battle to grasp the complexity of human nature and of herself. While she has to make impossible choices about courage, allegiance, trust, sacrifice and love. What will she do? Will she be able to make the right choices?

The major difference between this book and the previous two is the change of narration between Tris and Tobias. That allows the novel to cover more space and time. It also gives the reader an opportunity to see a different side of Tris.

It all comes to a surprise ending that is much more valiant and less predictable than the rest of the series that would lead one to expect.

However the “Divergent” journey is not over yet. Like all the other popular books, “Divergent” is finding its way to theaters soon. The first movie will be released on March 21, starring Shailene Woodley, Theo James and Kate Winslet.
