Keeping an eye on morning traffic

Motorcycle officer Shane Stewart parked his motorcycle in the Daniel Pearl Magnet High School parking lot Thursday morning to monitor traffic along Balboa Boulevard. Stewart along with colleagues Manny Muneton and Eric Barr, are part of the Los Angeles Unified School District Police Motor Traffic Unit who came to help calm the traffic problem in front of DPMHS and cite any violators. The school district’s civil engineers are currently reviewing plans to ease the unsafe driving conditions around the campus every morning. Here’s a link to our news video on this issue from last month. Photo by Jake Dobbs.
