For those who believe that they will sit in front their TV and do absolutely nothing, have the opportunity to choose an even bigger TV along with popcorn and snacks and a few friends. Here are some of the handful of movies that can be seen at a theater near you.
“The Internship,” opening June 7, features Billy (Vince Vaughn) and Nick (Owen Wilson) are two salesmen, who can’t flow with the mainstream of the digital era. They apply for an internship at the internet-related service company better known as Google. They battle against high tech-kids to get employment at this multi-national corporation (and this time there is no wedding to crash).
In theaters June 14, “This Is The End” is a comedy-filled feature film where James Franco hosts a party inviting all of the top stars of Hollywood. Suddenly, they realize that the Earth has entered an apocalyptic stage. During the end of the world, Seth Rogen and a few of his friends will have to do whatever it takes to survive even if it means fighting over a Milky Way chocolate bar.
Returning with a sequel, “Grown Ups 2” opens July 12. Lenny (Adam Sandler) and his family go back to the hometown where he was raised. While walking down memory lane, Lenny along with Eric Lamonsoff (Kevin James), Kurt McKenzie (Chris Rock) and Marcus Higgins (David Spade) realize a lot has change since they left.
In theaters June 28, “White House Down” features Capitol policeman John Cale (Channing Tatum) taking his daughter, Emily (Joey King) on a tour of the White House. To his dismay, a group of heavily armed soldiers take over the White House and begin to attack the government. Cale must protect his daughter along with President James Sawyer (Jamie Foxx) to save the country from disaster.
On July 19, after kidnapping the vice-president in the first film, Frank Moses (Bruce Willis), a retired CIA agent and his girlfriend Sarah Ross (Mary-Louise Parker) attempt to live a normal life in “Red 2,” until trouble comes knocking on their door. Frank and rest of his Motley Crue return for another action-comedy packed adventure that sends them across Europe to find the missing portable nuclear device before they get killed themselves.
Coming to theaters June 21, Disney’s Pixar Animation Studios has done it again with “Monsters University,” the prequel to the Academy nominated Monsters, Inc. The story follows Mike Wazowski (Billy Crystal) and James P. “Sulley” Sullivan (John Goodman) in their first years of college before they became the best of friends at the incorporation. As well as a few familiar faces. Unfortunately for all the “Boo” loving fans, she will not be seen since she was not born when Mike and Sulley went to college.
