“Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice” is about feudal Japan during its Sengoku period, which was around 1467 to 1573. You play as a character named Sekiro, who is also known as a wolf.
At the beginning of the story, you fight Genichiro Ashina and lose your arm, the person you’re protecting and your life. You regain your life and get a prosthetic arm but you will have to spend the rest of your game in search of Kuro, the person you are in charge of protecting.
Kuro is the only child of an ancient clan, which labels him as their heir. Sekiro is a shinobi or ninja, who is tasked with protecting Divine Heir, Kuro. Sekiro is bound by his honor to serve Kuro. He is usually composed and will use any option to complete his mission.
This game was produced by FromSoftware and was designed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, who also created the Dark Souls Series.
